About Us

Mr. Byrd was born in Winnfield, Louisiana to James H. Byrd and Philodean Salter Byrd in 1953. He graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School and married Patricia Morgan Byrd. He has four children and 13 grandchildren. Started working full-time for Salter Trailways in 1971.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Hodge, Louisiana to Carl and Earline Morgan in 1953 and also graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School and married J.H. Byrd, Jr.

Mrs. Strickland was born in Ruston, Louisiana to J.H. Byrd, Jr. and Patricia Byrd in 1976. She graduated from Quitman High School and from Louisiana Tech University. She married Jason Strickland in the winter of 1997. She has five sons and joined the Salter Trailways staff full-time in 2005.

Mr. Byrd was born in Ruston, Louisiana to J.H. Byrd, Jr. and Patricia Byrd in 1973. He graduated from Chamberlain-Hunt Academy in Port Gibson, Mississippi after joining the United States Army as a mechanic. He joined the staff at Salter Trailways as a full-time employee in the summer of 2011. He has one son – Jacob.
